G’Day all! My big guy has ventured in to the world of organized baseball and so in support of him, I decided to make myself and my husband some super cool t-shirts with my Silhouette Cameo. I definitely wanted mine to say “Baseball Mom”, but I wasn’t super sure of how I wanted it to look so after a long list of test projects on my Silhouette Studio software, I decided it needed to have rhinestones – BLING! – and be usable for years to come (if he sticks with baseball).
I went to Sports Authority and picked up a black Soffe baseball shirt in small. It was a steal for $10. The font I used for “BASEBALL” and the “M” in “MOM is “Freshman“. Then, I took the rhinestone baseball design by Silhouette (pictured below) and placed it in for the “O” in “MOM”.
I made one cut, in black vinyl, for all the letters. Then positioned that on my shirt. Next, I made the cuts for the rhinestone design, dropped clear and black 10ss rhinestones in, and lifted them with the transfer material. Then, I placed the rhinestone baseball where I wanted it, in between the M’s. I laid an empty pillowcase down and began to iron. I made sure the vinyl was adhering and then went back over just the rhinestone baseball a little more. I lifted all the transfer material off the shirt and then flipped it inside-out, placed the pillow case, and ironed just the rhinestone baseball so the glue adhered through the shirt even more.
